When price rejects a level

A pin bar (hammer / shooting star family) has a small body and a long wick showing rejection. The wick tells you where price was pushed back during the bar.

  • Bullish pin — long lower wick at support; buyers rejected lower prices.
  • Bearish pin — long upper wick at resistance; sellers rejected higher prices.
Bullish pin Bearish pin Wick length = rejection

Context matters: a pin at random mid-range is weak. The same shape at Module 3 support/resistance is more meaningful. Wait for bar close before acting.
