Break of structure vs change of character
BOS (Break of Structure) — price continues the trend by breaking the most recent swing high (uptrend) or swing low (downtrend).
CHoCH (Change of Character) — first sign of potential reversal: in an uptrend, price breaks the last higher low; in a downtrend, breaks the last lower high.
Practice marking swings on multiple timeframes: higher timeframe bias, lower timeframe execution.
