When markets are most active
Forex runs 24 hours on weekdays across global sessions (times vary with daylight saving):
- Asian — Tokyo/Sydney; JPY pairs often more active.
- London — high EUR, GBP liquidity; overlap with Asia late.
- New York — USD pairs active; London–NY overlap is often highest volume.
Crypto trades 24/7 but still shows volume patterns. Gold (XAU) often moves on US data and London open. Check an economic calendar (Forex Factory, Investing.com) for scheduled events.
