US Non-Farm Payrolls (first Friday each month, 8:30 AM New York time) reports jobs added outside farming. High impact on USD pairs and gold.

Typical reactions (not rules)

  • Strong jobs + wage growth → USD strength possible.
  • Weak jobs → USD weakness possible.
  • Initial spike may reverse within minutes — spreads widen first.

Convert release time to PKT (PK +5h from EST roughly; check DST). Many traders flat 5 minutes before until 15 after.
