Learn first, risk later
Successful traders treat the market as a skill to develop, not a lottery. Verifiable habits include:
- Studying how prices move before risking capital.
- Paper trading / demo accounts to practise order types.
- Tracking mistakes in a journal.
- Accepting that losses are part of the process when risk is controlled.
Red flags (avoid these)
- “Guaranteed profit” or “100% win rate” claims — no strategy wins every trade.
- Trading without a stop-loss plan.
- Increasing lot size after losses to “recover” — classic revenge trading.
